Supporting our vision for young people

The charity underpins our school and outdoor education offer. We’ve developed commercial ventures that help sustain our vision and provide training opportunities for young people.

What is Releasing Potential?
Releasing Potential is an education charity which comprises an independent school and an outdoor alternative provision which provides specialised therapeutic education for young people who struggle in mainstream settings. Our School and bespoke programmes operate across Hampshire and West Sussex.

“Releasing Potential is an enthusiastic, efficient and caring company who operate flexibly and professionally to meet the needs of the young people.”

~ SEN School Headteacher
Our approach to learning
Our approach is built around William Glasser's Choice Theory, which recognises that meaningful learning emerges when five fundamental human needs are thoughtfully addressed.
Survival
The physical component of the most basic human needs
Love
The need to feel cared for and be able to care for others
Power
The need to learn and appreciate feelings of value and power
Freedom
One of the five basic needs that drive all human behaviour
Fun
The need to have fun, and seek enjoyment in what we do
